Celeste Airline | The Fecundation of a Dream

February 19th, 2009 · No comments

Sept. 2004 – Jan. 2005

In cooperation with Markus Frumlacher and Camille Hasenauer.

Today’s conventional airplanes are based on a fuselage for the passengers, two wings for the lift and an empennage for the flight stability. Due to the fact that the fuselage and the empennage produce an air drag it is obvious to integrate both into the wings, a so called flying-wing.

Our idea was to combine both systems to get a larger passenger-compartment space as well as less air drag coefficient. So the Celeste Airline evolved, with delta wings and a rearward accreting passenger-compartment and without a conventional empennage. The turbojets are situated beneath the wings at the rear of the aeroplane.
