Today the new idea hit me - why don’t I create a comfortable cot instead of this shakedown kind of thing. So far I’ve been working on a solution where you could lie on the bare plastic of the hard case of the backpack. As I said this was only meant to be a makeshift for some hours waiting for the next train or so. No I found a solution which is both - simple and convenient.  By laying a fabric in between the hard cases I can attain a flexible surface to lie on. This surface is tautened by pulling down a knee lever on each side and bracing each hard case with another. This cot should be assembled in two to four minutes maximum - fulfilling the needs of my target group. I can adjust most components from the previous concept if anything has changed. Still some details to solve.
