This project for a design contest was in cooperation with two classmates: Thomas Hribar and Roman Mraz. A combination of a trolley for the bike and a shopping cart for the supermarket. Contest by Country of Styria and Spar.
‚ISY’ is a bike trolley that combines high variability with high usability. Our goal was to develop a carrier that is as easy and cost-efficient as possible – because of this we concentrated on a simple construction and a design that is focused on the user.
The lightweight aluminium frame carries detachable boxes and can be adjusted easily and quickly to various requirements. The two boxes take +60litres – an average shopping volume. Additionally the lower tray provides space for bulkier goods such as a beverage crate or some dog food bags and these can fastened to the frame by two straps. The goods can be put into two separate, waterproof bags which enable to bring them right into the kitchen. The cart can be loaded in any order – you needn’t mind to equally spread the items, ISY is stable in every situation. The two larger wheels provide high driving dynamics on the road and the two pivoted castors allow high manoeuvrability in the store
‘ISY’ distinguishes itself through reduction to the essential and sets the focus onto the user. As flexible and easy like a bike itself.
‚ISY’ (sagt sogar der Hausverstand)
