Here are two very early sketches to the project. The above ones should illustrate an idea we had of tiles kind of floating on a surface and act as armor plates. In the sleek mode the would be hidden in a pocket beneath the cabin and in the rough mode they would be spread on the sides to keep off sticks and stones^^. The second one is way closer to our final concept. The idea was to lift the sleek cover like you roll up your sleeves when you work hard.

Heres a photo of me and the taperendering of our car. I must admit, most of the taping was done by Adrian and Sophie whilst I was making sketches for the underbody (coming soon). It’s so impressing to see our baby grow and yet there is so much more work to do. And if you’re wondering why our ‘SUV’ is so low - the concept showing how it shapeshifts is coming soon, well …

Oh, and our baby has gotten a name: AUTHIS GENE - authis coming from authentic and gene from BMW genes.

Haven’t posted in a while… this terms project is taking all my time. But its great fun, working with Sophie and Adrian, both incredible ambitous and creative. Adrians drawing skills are more impressive than ever before and Sophies unique approaches and unbowed will to perfectionism - great combination and I wish that we can preserve the loose and humerous atmosphere we have.

Yeah - I’m back home again - after 2000km driving. But since my friend ‘Roland the baffled’ joined me it was a nice trip. It inculded visiting my dear friend Tom and his family in Milan, a short drive through dense Monaco and an allmost crash with a red BMW on the highway to Toulon. Oh, yeah, and French and Italian highway organisations are thieves… payed double the amount for toll in 3 days for what in Austria costs a yearly vignette… >>THIEVES<<.

So I’ll move to Graz more or less on the first of March, immediatly starting with the project!
